A Walk In Our Shoes
I wrote about the realities of growing up black in America.
We tell our kids that at the sight of a cop pulling his gun
"Show your hands, stay calm, and never resist"
What a black mother tells her son
Hate from all sides just because we exist
Don't we have every right to be pissed
Of course you don't wanna walk in our shoes, it ain't fun
Simply be black in America and your life is done
