There are many outside scholarships awarded every year, however, it’s not always an easy task to discover relevant ones for high school students. This Bullhorn scholarship directory aims to contain scholarship opportunities divided up into the sections of National, State, and City to have a general idea of competitiveness. Along with this, eligibility is listed to easily figure out if you fit the criteria.

NATIONAL LEVEL -

Scholastic Art & Writing Portfolio Award: https://www.artandwriting.org/scholarships/portfolio-scholarships/

Amount: $2,000 - $12,500

Eligibility: High School Senior

Components: Submit collection of six works with accompanying Artist or Writer Statements and Personal Statements (500 words or less).

Deadline: December 1st, 2022

Jack Kent Cooke Foundation College Scholarship: https://www.jkcf.org/our-scholarships/college-scholarship-program/

Amount: $55,000

Eligibility: "Be graduating from a U.S. high school, Intend to enroll full time in an accredited four-year college beginning next Fall, Earn a cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.5 or above, Demonstrate unmet financial need. We will consider applicants with family income up to $95,000. Last year’s cohort of new college scholarship recipients had a median family income of approximately $35,000"

Hispanic Heritage Youth Awards: https://hispanicheritage.org/programs/leadership/youth-awards/

Amount: 3,500

Eligibility: "Be currently enrolled in high school and graduating in the spring, Must have a minimum unweighted 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale or 7.5 on a 10.0 scale, Must enroll at an accredited higher education institution, Be of Hispanic heritage (includes Spain, Brazil, Philippines), If selected, attendance to regional awards ceremony is mandatory and travel is at the recipient’s expense, Be a U.S. permanent resident, U.S. citizen, or qualify under the DACA"

STATE LEVEL -

Pennsylvania Society for Biomedical Research Essay Contest: https://www.psbr.org/programs-19/essay-contest

Amount: $1,200

Eligbility: "All 6th-12th grade students in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and New Jersey including (but not limited to): public and private schools, home and cyber schools, and youth organizations"

Deadline: March 12th, 2023
